the giants are hoping for a better outcome after a tough loss yesterday. allie rasmus joins us with more as the team has come back before, allie? >> reporter: that's right, that is exactly why a lot of giants fans are feeling optimistic and we will have a chance to take on the cardinals again at at&t park and this morning many giants fans are already putting that 6- 4 loss behind them. they are trying to make a come back scoring four runs but it was not enough to come over the early leap. several giants fans pointed out they have a lot of faith in their team. >> we do. >> it was proven in the last go round and it will happen. last night was pretty heartbreaking but it was incredibly thrilling and i have nothing but good faith that we will get them today.

he is not sure but he might have it pay for a home when he moves here to the bay area. oakland homicide -- oakland homicide detectives are trying to figure out what happened just before 1:00 a.m. somebody fired at least ten times at close range. officers found the victim on the ground unresponsive and he died at the hospital a half hour later. they don't have any information on the shooter. and they are investigating another shooting which sent two people to the hospital overnight. it happened on 7th and filbert streets. he kept hitting cars and windows. the victim eventually ran into the apartment building. right now police are trying to figure out if there are multiple shooters.

that shooting happened on october 1st around the same time of night. in that incident four men got out of their car and opened fire. two people were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. about 40 shell casings were found at that scene. a man and woman are found dead in contra costa. they found the victims on buchanan road near pittsburgh. the contra costa sheriff's office said the man was pronounced dead at the scene and woman died at the hospital. no arrests have been made. witness withs said they saw the getaway car leave the area but they have not released any information about that car. in election news, governor mitt romney and president barack obama are staying under the radar as they do final preparation. they will be taking questions from undecided voters taking place in new york. the campaign will give the
